Meet the Founder
Mike Slaney is the founder of Element Landscape Solutions, and a passionate advocate for healthier landscapes, for people and the planet. He loves to spend his time outdoors and can be found hiking, camping, or tinkering at a project in his own yard. He's always taken immense pride in his property, and has never been one to leave a problem area unsolved.
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in his early twenties, Mike began looking closely at his environment and its connection to his health. He became increasingly aware of how everyday exposures, especially to chemicals and toxins, can impact long-term wellbeing. After his children were born, that awareness quickly evolved into action.
As he learned more about soil health and the link between environmental and human wellness, Mike saw how disconnected conventional landscaping had become from both. Element Landscape Solutions was born from that disconnect, and his drive to do better.
With a background in problem-solving and hands-on systems work (including electronics work with NAV Canada), Mike brings precision and purpose to every job. He loves innovation, and finding clever solutions to common landscaping problems is part of what keeps him excited about the work. He's committed to reducing chemical use, supporting regenerative practices, and giving clients honest guidance for their property and their health.
Whether applying Satusteam™ to eliminate weeds without herbicides or enriching soil naturally, Mike's goal is simple: outdoor spaces that are truly safe, sustainable, and thriving, for his family and yours.
